Congratulations to Frontier Director Angela Emslie for her recent appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) as recognition for her significant service to the finance and superannuation sectors and to suicide prevention. This recognition was announced in the Queen’s Birthday Honours and Awards on 14 June, 2021.
Angela has been a member of the Frontier Board since 2011 and operates as an independent non-executive Director.
In addition to her role with Frontier, Angela is Chair of both Suicide Prevention Australia and Assemble, and a Non-Executive Director of the Reinsurance Group of America ANZ, State Trustees, and on the United Nations supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).
Angela previously served as a Director of the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees from 2002 to 2016, including as President from 2014 to 2016, and was previously a Trustee Director of CareSuper, Vision Super, VicSuper, AusFund and HESTA where she was Chair from 2010 to 2018. She is currently a member of the HESTA Impact Committee, which she joined in 2019.
Angela is also a founding director of the consulting firm, LIME Management Group, which provides management consulting services primarily to the health and community services sector.
This is not the first notable recognition of Angela’s contribution to financial services having been awarded the title of AIST Trustee of the Year in 2018.
