Sharanjit is a Principal at Finity Consulting, with nearly 30 years experience in actuarial consulting in the UK and Australia, and as a senior executive at global general insurers.
He leads Finity’s Climate and ESG risk practice, advising a range of banks, insurers, investors and asset owners on assessing, managing, reporting and developing strategies on climate and ESG risk. Sharanjit initiated and led the Climate Measurement Standards Initiative (CMSI), a collaboration between Australia’s largest banks, insurers, and asset owners with leading climate scientists to develop climate risk scenario analysis guidance for financial services firms.
He was awarded Risk Manager of the Year in 2020 by the Climate Alliance, and in 2021 received the Actuaries Institute’s Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his service on the institute’s Climate Change Working Group. He is a contributing author to the IPCC AR6 WG II report, and WG1 report Climate Science: A Summary for Actuaries.
