As Head of Commodities for TD Asset Management, Hussein leads commodity and inflation strategies within the TDAM Asset Allocation Team and provides expertise for concerns relating to commodity markets.
Hussein is a proven and experienced portfolio manager and researcher with over 15 years experience in commodities, with a particular focus on energy and agriculture, leveraging macro and geopolitical knowledge. Prior roles have included senior positions with Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, the IMF and Bank of Canada.
Hussein has worked as a trusted advisor and SME to sovereigns, local and multinational corporations (producers and consumers), hedge funds and pension funds on managing and profiting from their commodity exposures. Hussein holds a B.A. with Honours in Economics from the University of Western Ontario.
