Niamh Brodie-Machura is the Co-Chief Investment Officer, Equities for Fidelity International (Fidelity). FIL has one of the largest investment and global research capabilities in the industry. Niamh leads almost 300 investment professionals, including portfolio managers and analysts, that cover our equities business globally. In addition, she is responsible for the company’s Sustainable Investing department.
Niamh joined FIL in 2024 from Fidelity Investments (FMR) where she was Managing Director of Equity Research and Co-Head of Equity Sustainable Investing. During her time at FMR, Niamh held several senior roles, including managing director of the London equity research team and co-head of equity sustainable investing, helping to direct FMR’s global sustainable investing research and product development. She has a deep understanding of the asset management business and investment process through her experience working with global investment teams across asset classes. In addition, she served as Co-CEO and board director of FMR, UK.
Niamh brings 26 years of industry experience and prior to joining FMR in 2011, she held various roles as an equity analyst and sector PM at Pioneer Investments, Merrion Stockbrokers and Tilman Asset Management.
He has extensive experience and knowledge of Australian industry and the workings of Parliament and government, has over 30 years of experience with industry superannuation, and has degrees in mining engineering, economics and a Diploma in Labour Relations and the Law. His skills encompass advocacy, strategy, policy-making, implementation of major programs, industrial relations, negotiation and conflict resolution, superannuation investment and financial management.
Niamh earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Additionally, she earned her Master of Science degree in investment and treasury from Dublin City University, where she graduated with first class honours.
