We are delighted to announce four new appointments to our ranks, including a new Senior Consultant and the first members of a new ‘investment analyst’ pool.
James Damicoucas will join as a Senior Consultant in Frontier’s “Emerging Institutional” client team, headed up by Sarkis Tepeli. James will be working with investors in the university, charity and foundation sectors, along with wealth management firms who are increasingly looking for institutional grade asset consulting support. James joins Frontier from Zenith Investment Partners where he built diversified portfolios for adviser groups along with experience in funds management research. Prior to Zenith he worked Perpetual Private and Wattle Partners private wealth group.
Our Investment Governance Team, led by Sarah Cornelius, will also gain a boost from the appointment of Anchy Kaur who joins the firm with a background gained from roles with the Australian Financial Complaints Authority, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the ATO. Anchy will join as an Associate with a focus on supporting the growing demand for advice on regulatory compliance and governance frameworks.
We have also embarked on building out an entry level analyst pool and with Charlie Hurst and Liam Chiodi joining as the inaugural members of this team. Building on the success of our PhD intern program, the firm sees this as an opportunity to introduce asset consulting as a career option while also being able to elevate the work undertaken by the firm’s Associate ranks.
Frontier Advisors CEO, Andrew Polson, is excited with the breadth of capabilities these appointments bring.
“The fastest growing segment of our business is our Emerging Institutional segment. Adding more experience with not-for-profit and private wealth clients will help deliver great service to the new clients we have in this area and help us further grow this part of our business. James will be a real boon to this endeavour,” Andrew said.
“The other area of increasing demand is investment governance, so we’re excited to add further support for our clients in this space as well with Anchy’s appointment.
“Our whole team is excited about the creation of our analyst pool. This will relieve some burden around completing important data and admin tasks from our more junior consulting and research staff, and add further professional dimension for them, while offering a pathway into our industry for high-calibre entry level candidates who may not otherwise have considered asset consulting as a career.”
In recent years Frontier has been working collaboratively with a number of universities in offering internships to PhD students. This has exposed a series of highly capable candidates to the institutional investment arena and has resulted in permanent appointments bolstering the quantitative and econometric capability of our team.
This innovative academic/industry collaboration is a positive way to build the numbers working in a sector where there is a significant and increasing demand for candidates thanks to the growth of major super funds and institutional grade investment organisations more broadly.
Our new recruits will join the firm in April and be based in the Melbourne office.
