We are delighted to welcome Meirine Giggins to Frontier as a Senior Consultant focussing on client advice delivery, particularly in the growing ‘non-super’ side of our business.
Meirine brings over two decades of experience into the role, most recently having worked with a sizeable South African family office as CEO/CIO. A qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst her career in asset management started at Allan Gray in South Africa before she joined HSBC Asset Management.
Meirine’s experience leading a family office structure will be a valuable asset for Frontier and our clients as we continue to grow our footprint in the endowment, wealth management and family office sectors. More than half of our clients now come from outside our traditional superannuation fund base.
Frontier Director of Consulting, Kim Bowater, is delighted to welcome Meirine to the Frontier team.
“Meirine will bring a lot of experience, both in terms of managing a portfolio over a number of market cycles, and in providing a knowledgeable perspective on the kind of factors that are important for investors like a family office or an endowment fund. Constructing a suitable governance framework, building robust investment portfolios, and accommodating the ethos and interests of particular stakeholders are all areas where Meirine’s understanding will be highly valuable for our clients.”
Meirine migrated to Australia in 2017 while continuing in her role as CIO of the South African based Retief Family Office – Huguenot Investments. We look forward to welcoming her to the team on 23 August.
