Prior to Lonsec, Adrian spent five years at IOOF where he held a number of roles including research, consulting and investment operations. Adrian holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Information Systems from The University of Melbourne, is a CFA charterholder and is RG146 compliant.

Principal Consultant, Head of Debt and Currency

Andrew Kemp joined Frontier in June 2016 as a Senior Consultant, was promoted to Principal Consultant in 2018 and is the head of Debt and Currency, leading Frontier’s fixed income and currency research program. Andrew has around twenty years of experience in the asset management industry both domestically and globally, having worked in Australia, Singapore and the UK. Andrew was Head of Fixed Income at DBS Asset Management (Singapore) for three years and prior to that spent a decade as Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Alliance Bernstein Australia. Andrew joins Frontier from Chimaera Capital, where he was the Director of Asset Management, most recently in Melbourne, but chiefly in the Capital Management division in Singapore. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from Otago University (NZ) and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from Finsia.

Before joining Frontier, Andrew spent seven years at Mercer in their Institutional Wealth business providing advice to clients on a broad range of superannuation and investment related issues. Prior to this, he also worked for Mercer in the United Kingdom where he spent four years in an actuarial consulting role. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science (Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics) from Queen’s University Belfast. He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary.

Andrew is responsible for overall leadership, operation, strategic planning, and financial performance of Frontier, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Prior to Frontier, Andrew was General Manager, Wealth Management with financial services group MyState Limited, and before that Global Head of Investment Management and Implementation for ANZ Global Wealth’s Chief Investment Office. He has also held several other senior Wealth Management specific roles within the ANZ Group and at IOOF. Andrew started his career at NAB in Business Banking and then Group Strategy. Andrew holds a Master of Marketing Management from Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce from La Trobe University.

She is a member of Capital Markets and Asset Allocation team and is responsible for applying econometric modelling to contribute to the preparation of Frontier’s analytical reports and undertaking relevant economic and financial market research. Prior to joining Frontier, Ann worked as a lecturer and tutor for Economics and Finance courses at RMIT University. She has also published academic journal articles on Empirical Economics and Journal of Policy Modelling. Ann holds a PhD in Economics from RMIT, majoring in Applied Macroeconomics and Time Series Econometrics. She also holds a Master of Economics from University of Leeds (United Kingdom).

Chris Trevillyan is the Director of Investment Strategy at Frontier having joined the firm in 2004. Greg Barr joined Frontier in 2016 as a Principal Consultant and provides investment advice to a range of clients, as well as undertaking manager and investment research as it relates to client portfolios. Greg is a member of Frontier’s Investment Committee and Manager Ratings Committee. Prior to Frontier, Greg was employed by Mercer where he headed the Melbourne based investment consulting team. He worked with a range of institutional clients including super funds, insurance companies, endowments and funds management businesses, advising on investment strategy, portfolio construction and manager selection. Prior to joining Mercer in 2008, Greg spent ten years at Standard & Poor’s in a number of roles. He was a Director and Head of the Manager Research business and had previously headed research in fixed income and alternatives. Greg had also worked for five years at National Mutual, with both the Funds Management and the Corporate Superannuation businesses. Morgan franchise in a range of risk management functions. Four of these years were based in London providing quantitative and qualitative portfolio analysis for a Multi-Asset trading desk. Prior to working in London, Iain worked in an operational capacity with a Fixed Income Derivatives trading desk. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Finance and Economics) and a Bachelor of Science (majoring in Statistics) from the University of Melbourne and has recently passed the CFA level 2 exam.

Isabelle joined Frontier in 2018 as Head of Real Assets. She leads our research into infrastructure, real estate, agriculture and private equity sectors, and brings over 18 years combined experience in corporate finance and investments. Prior to joining Frontier, Isabelle worked with MENA Infrastructure Fund as an Investment Director in Dubai, HSBC in London in the Power & Utilities team and Babcock & Brown in London/Shanghai and Sydney as an Investment Manager. Earlier in her career she worked at ABN AMRO in mergers and acquisitions and NAB Global Markets. Isabelle holds a Bachelor of Law (Hons) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of Sydney and was admitted to practice as a legal practitioner in the Supreme Court of NSW in 2003.

Jennifer Johnstone-Kaiser joined Frontier in January 2018. Jennifer leads Frontier’s property research program providing consulting and research for clients, both domestically and globally. Jennifer has held many senior positions, most recently as Country Head and Director of Business Development with Savills Investment Management. Before this Jennifer was Mercer’s Head of Real Estate ‐ Asia Pacific and worked with consultancy firm Pinnacle Property Group. Jennifer is a Senior Fellow of Finsia and sits on the Property Council’s Market Trends Roundtable and Global Investment Group. She holds a Master of Finance and Bachelor of Business, Property (Distinction).

Kim Bowater is Director of Consulting at Frontier Advisors, having joined the firm in 2002. She has 22 years industry experience. Kim is responsible for overseeing Frontier's delivery of advice and research through our consulting team. She is a member of Frontier's Investment Committee and Chair of Frontier's Client Portfolio Review Committee. She is also the lead consultant for several large superannuation funds. Over time, Kim has held a number of roles at Frontier including managing Frontier's research program, leading research teams including alternatives, currency and infrastructure, providing investment advice to clients, and founding Frontier's retirement solutions group. Kim was previously employed at Deloitte and Towers Perrin. Margie has over 25 years’ experience and a proven track record working as a senior executive in human resource management. She has held executive HR positions in organisations including AustralianSuper and Westpac. Prior to taking up corporate roles, Margie worked in policy and program management roles for the Australian and South Australian governments. Tom Frederick joined Frontier as an Associate in 2007 and was promoted to Principal Consultant in 2016. His responsibilities at Frontier include advising clients on investment policy, preparing investment research, and undertaking investment manager evaluation. Tom is a member of the Manager Ratings Committee and Investment Committee. Tom was previously employed by Beveridge Williams as an Environmental Geologist within its Environmental Division. His primary role was the project management of small and medium scale remediation programs and contamination assessments of commercial and industrial properties prior to redevelopment. Tom holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Geology) from Monash University, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from Finsia and a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.

Tom Lambert joined Frontier in 2002 as an Associate Consultant. Tom is a member of the Capital Markets and Asset Allocation team where he assists with various research activities including valuation modelling for foreign currency.  He maintains a strong interest in ESG aspects of investment with a particular focus on climate change impacts.  Tom also undertakes quantitative analysis and modelling within the Quantitative Solutions Group and has been involved in the development of several Partners Platform applications. Prior to joining Frontier, Tom consulted to Telstra, where he provided quantitative analysis of pricing proposals. Prior to his engagement with Telstra, Tom worked for Towers Perrin in its actuarial consulting business. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours from Monash University majoring in applied mathematics and statistics, and a Graduate Diploma (Environmental Studies) from the University of Melbourne. He has completed a number of units of study with the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.

Wayne Sullivan manages business development activity and has responsibility for the marketing and communication program at Frontier, including brand management, content creation and publication, digital media, and public relations. Wayne has an extensive background in marketing of financial services, specifically in superannuation, having previously held senior marketing and communication roles with Hostplus, Sunsuper and QSuper. He is a past Rainmaker Australian Superannuation Marketer of the Year and has won multiple industry awards for marketing and communication at each of the funds he has worked for. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from the Queensland University of Technology, a Diploma of Superannuation Management, and an Associate Diploma in Marketing. Wayne is a Fellow of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia.

William Leong is a Principal Consultant, having joined Frontier in 2003. William currently provides investment advice to a range of Frontier clients, as well as undertaking manager and investment research as it relates to client portfolios. He is also the Chair of Frontier’s Manager Ratings Committee, member of Frontier’s Client Portfolio Oversight Group and additionally leads a group of investment staff within the firm. In his time at Frontier, William has held the role of Head of Global Equities research and has been a member of Frontier’s Investment Committee. William previously worked at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (now BlackRock) in a number of analytical roles. Prior to this, he was employed by Mercer in the superannuation division working on the Foster’s Group Superannuation Plan. William holds a Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance) with Honours degree from Monash University, a Certificate of Superannuation Management from ASFA, and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investments. He is a Fellow of Finsia and a CFA Charterholder, and member of the CFA Society of Melbourne.
