We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Capital Markets and Asset Allocation team, with client facing and thought leadership responsibility. The role is part of a team of 8 and reports to the Director of Investment Strategy and is responsible for the delivery of high-quality investment and strategic advice and research to Frontier clients
Key responsibilities
To ensure the delivery of high-quality asset consulting services to Frontier clients and achieving Frontier’s business strategy by:
- Helping grow the capital markets segment via business development activities including prospecting, cultivating relationships, enhancing Frontier’s brand and profile.
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality asset consulting services to Frontier clients by aiming for individual excellence and through the promotion of group excellence including driving efficiency gains.
- Assisting in other business responsibilities.
This is a senior role with client facing and thought leadership responsibility. The role is part of a team of 8 and reports to the Director of Investment Strategy and is responsible for the delivery of high-quality investment and strategic advice and research to Frontier clients. The role includes the following responsibilities:
- Carrying out capital markets and asset allocation research to improve your and the firm’s knowledge and understanding of capital markets and related issues faced by clients.
- Producing bespoke work and interacting with external institutional clients and maintaining strong relationships specifically in the areas of capital markets and asset allocation.
- Contributing to the formation of Frontier’s strategic and dynamic asset allocation views and supporting client teams in providing asset allocation recommendations to client portfolios that produce long-term risk-adjusted return enhancements and/or risk mitigation.
- Presenting on capital markets and asset allocation issues to internal and external forums such as conferences, client functions and webinars, assisting with media liaison on capital markets and asset allocation matters, contributing material for internal and external publications and other multi-media outlets.
Knowledge, skills and experience
The following capabilities are requirements of the position:
- Relevant experience within banking, investment consulting, funds management, economic and market analysis or a similar related field.
- Appropriate graduate and post graduate qualifications in relevant fields (e.g. Economics, Finance, Commerce).
- Exemplary interpersonal skills and an ability to work in, and contribute to, a team environment by working co-operatively and effectively in an environment of mutual respect.
- Excellent organisation skills, an ability to work autonomously, set priorities and work to deadlines.
- Ability to work with other people and to encourage learning and development for less experienced staff.
- Demonstrable results in proactively fostering, developing and maintaining relationships with prospects to improve brand awareness and drive new revenue.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills and an ability to work in, and contribute to, a team environment by working co-operatively and effectively in an environment of mutual respect to ensure that:
- All work is of high quality and delivered in a timely manner.
- Other Frontier staff are involved in work where they have particular expertise or specialisation.

- Work is delegated appropriately and effectively to the person most suitably qualified to undertake the work whilst at the same time retaining responsibility for the completion of that work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to communicate at all levels including:
- Presenting to clients, staff and conference audiences in a professional and confident manner.
- Communicating with external managers stakeholders in a professional and appropriate manner.
- Giving and receiving feedback positively, constructively and consistently.
- Taking appropriate action if it is unlikely that a deadline can be met.
- Excellent organisation skills, an ability to work autonomously, set priorities and work to deadlines.
- Strong MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills.
- A commitment to maintaining capabilities in relation to software programs relevant to Frontier’s work including proprietary tools developed by Frontier, CRM tools and other relevant software.
- Proven experience working in a commercially sensitive environment.
